07/05/2010 - Detroit, MI (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Brandon Inge went 3-for-4 with four RBI as the Detroit Tigers downed the Baltimore Orioles, 12-9, in the opener of a three- game set.

Carlos Guillen went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored while Miguel Cabrera added two hits, two runs and two RBI for the Tigers, who have taken three of their last four.

Johnny Damon went 3-for-6 with a pair of runs scored in the win and is now one hit shy of 2,500 for his career.

Andrew Oliver lasted just 1 2/3 innings in the start and was charged with six runs -- five earned -- on four hits with a walk and a strikeout. Eddie Bonine (4-0) got the win for working 2 2/3 innings of one-run ball.

Jake Fox hit a solo home run and scored twice and Julio Lugo went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored for the Orioles, who have lost four of their last five games. Matt Wieters added a two-run single in the ninth.

Kevin Millwood went just one inning in the start as he was tagged for five runs on four hits with two walks and a strikeout. Mark Hendrickson (1-4) was handed the loss for giving up three runs over three innings.

Baltimore took the lead in the first as Corey Patterson led off by reaching second thanks to a Magglio Ordonez error, stole third and came home on Miguel Tejada's groundout.

However, the Tigers answered with five runs in the bottom of the frame. With two on, Cabrera doubled to chase home both runners and later came home on a Guillen single. Inge then hit a ground-ruled double that plated one and Alex Avila's run-scoring groundout made it a 5-1 game.

The O's though, answered with a five-run frame of their own in the second. With one out, Fox singled and came home when Lugo followed with a triple. Cesar Izturis then singled to score Lugo and moved to second on Patterson's groundout. Miguel Tejada then reached base on an infield single that saw Guillen throw the ball away, scoring Izturis.

After a walk to Nick Markakis, Bonine took the mound and an RBI double by Ty Wigginton was followed with a wild pitch that scored Markakis for a 6-5 lead.

The Tigers got the lead back in the bottom of the second as Guillen's two-run single was followed by an RBI single by Inge for an 8-6 lead.

Fox's one-out, solo homer in the third made it a one-run game.

Detroit added two to its lead in the fifth as Austin Jackson's triple scored Ramon Santiago, who reached base on a bunt, and Ordonez's single brought home Jackson for a 10-7 advantage.

Inge's two-run double in the seventh extended Detroit's lead to 12-7.

Wieters' two-run single in the ninth accounted for the final score.

Kurt Warner to start, Matt Leinart to watch

Despite the debate that's swirling , Kurt Warner will remain the starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, coach Dennis Green said today. The Arizona Cardinals are the +7 point underdog at online sportsbook MySportsbook.com for this Sunday's game.

Green's comment came in a statement released by the team following an ESPN report that Green decided that rookie Matt Leinart would replace Warner as starter for Sunday's game at Atlanta.

"Generally talking about the starting lineup is not something we do," Green told the AP. "However, given the speculation that was out there we want to make it clear. We're disappointed after last week, but we still expect to be a playoff football team and we fully expect Kurt Warner to be the quarterback that leads us. That has not changed."
