07/05/2010 - Flushing, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Mets' Fernando Tatis was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a right shoulder AC joint sprain.

Tatis is to undergo further testing at New York's Hospital for Special Surgery on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old veteran is batting just .185 with two home runs, six runs batted in and a lowly .254 on-base percentage in 41 games for New York. The infielder has split time at first, second and third base this year.

Lefty Raul Valdes was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo to fill the roster spot. Valdes went 2-2 with a 5.10 earned run average and one save in 20 appearances for the Mets before being demoted in late June.

Over 30 innings, he struck out 33 and walked 13.
